Thursday 10th March

Once again London's first and only weekly fusion of stand up poetry, performance comedy and spokenword brings your four diverse and entertaining poets and performers.

Tim Wells – in addition to our advertised line-up, as Sarah Kobrinksy had to move to the other side of the pond sooner than expected - the oblique bleak bloke that is the editor of 'Rising' series of zines spins tales that combine social history with a healthy interest in smut.

Peter Donnelly – A raconteur who performs backflips through the literary tradition. ‘Joyce himself would have loved this’ – Sunday Tribune

Craig Smith – wonderfully worded and sordidly skewed intelligent leaps of the poetic imagination, delicately crafted and shot through with sharp humour.

Deborah Lampitt – acutely observed poetry giving a unique slant on life, love and language.

HOSTED BY:

NATHAN PENLINGTON- "An act truly worthy of praise! His section is a smooth blend of comedy, storytelling and poetry. His writing and stage presence are both enjoyable and understated" - Three Weeks

Thursday 17th March

This week  at SHORTFUSE - London's best and only weekly fusion of stand-up poetry, performance comedy and spokenword - we  present a diverse range of established performers on the London scene:

Rachel Pantechnicon – one of the best character performers in London opens her handbag of emotions and offers fluff covered pastilles of insight…and the missing segment of the Beaux Tapestry.

S.P.Howarth – winner of the 3rd SHORTFUSE POETRY IDOL CONTEST, an energetic blend of observation and in-yer-face performance.

Bette O’Callaghan – hard livin’, heavy drinkin’, chain smokin’ poetry that walks on the wrong side of the road but lives to tell the tale.

Rebecca Sabin – one of London’s finest poetry performers, deceptively sweetly sharp. ‘Sensational’ – John Cooper Clarke.
