Thursday 13th July: This week at London's only weekly fusion of stand-up poetry, performance comedy and spokenword we present the latest installment of our wor(l)d renowned Poetry Idol Contest

Six performers new to SHORTFUSE will perform for 10 minutes each, and then YOU the audience will vote for their favourite acts. The winning two acts will both be given a full length paid set later in the year. Previous winners have gone on to secure regular full length sets at various other spokenword events accross the country including Express Excess, Apples & Snakes, 5 star Edinburgh Fringe shows, and BBC radio apperances. Three of the UK's most innovative spoken-word artists, Suzanne Andrade, Rhian Edwards and Nathan Penlington, tear-up the boundaries of page and stage with a slickly staged scrapbook cabaret featuring twilit tales of woe and weird wonder, curious conjouring that will baffle and confound, celestial song and animations most strange.
