SHORTFUSE
an electrifying weekly fusion of stand-up poetry and spokenword
This week at SHORTFUSE - London's ONLY weekly fusion of stand-up poetry, performance comedy and spokenword we are pleased to welcome the return of what will become Canada's best export - 'The Fugitives': The Fugitives are a unique hybrid of spoken word and music. They run the gamut from comedic to hard-hitting, insightful spoken word, and combine it with adventurous strong structures performed on piano, accordian, guitar, harmonica, beatbox, and voice. The result is a plethora of individual styles merged into a distinctive voice that compels its audience to celebrate, think, and care. The Fugitives are - PLUS - the UK's RICHARD JOHNSON - Winner of SHORTFUSE poetry idol 4. Darkly humoured, tightly written, twisted contemporary fairy tales.
