Thursday 17th May SHORTFUSE POETRY IDOL 10 Six poets perform for 10 minutes each to be awarded the Poetry Idol 10 crown, and to win a full length set in the new SHORTFUSE season. Before 19th April 2007 Thursday 24th May A feature length set from the SHORTFUSE Poetry Idol Rival Idol 3 winner Musa Okwonga, performing his subtle and stirring blend of storytelling and compelling poetry. Plus Canadian hip-hop poet Baba Brinkman performs new work and excerpts from his acclaimed Rap Canturbury Tales. And the delicately hard-hitting poetry of Katie Southall. Last year saw some fine performances including Niall O'Sullivan, Rhian Edwards and John Hegley...we will release the names for this year's show in a month or two but we are open for ticket reservations NOW!
A feature length set from singer/songwriter and Daniel Kitson collaborator Gavin Osborn. Lyrical acoustic songs that mix the personal with the topical, and that are essentially mini-stories about the tiny things that are still heroic.
